e started Coverflex as a way to democratise access to benefits for companies of all sizes, from micro-companies to enterprises, but mainly focusing on SMEs. We have invested since the beginning in adding more and more options to our benefits' portfolio to fit our users' preferences and be able to serve companies and employees with different needs.

This was always done on a logic of an all-in-one platform where you would set up Coverflex and unlock this great world of benefits with just one click, giving your employees the choice to spend their balance on each of those as they prefer and as their life changes day-to-day. However, we understand that different companies have different needs, policies and cultures and that not all of the available options fit in all use cases.

What changed?

Some companies prefer to own and set their benefits' offer, adjusted to their culture and employee base. In addition to this, employees did not have easy access to the company policy regarding benefits' usage, which could mean they might not understand how and where to use their Coverflex balance.

Below you can find the highlights of what we have just launched:

1. The new benefits management area in the company's dashboard allows you to set exactly which benefits you'd like to have available to your employees and define how they can use them - either through their apps, their Coverflex card, or via reimbursement. This is the place for you to understand how each benefit works at Coverflex and how your employees can access the multiple options.

  • You can define which benefits are enabled for your employees. If you see no point in having, for instance, the "technology" expenses enabled, you have the flexibility to disable it for them;
  • In cases where you'd like to have the benefit available but prefer to check the invoices beforehand (for example, Health & Well-being), you can just disable the option to use the Coverflex card for this benefit, which means all those expenses will have to go through for your approval once the employee submits a reimbursement request on the Coverflex app;
  • As your company grows, in case you want to enable or disable certain benefits or options for your team, you can always do it through this new section of your dashboard;
  • Certain benefits require a specific setup process, such as Apple (under Technology) or Real Vida Grupo Aberto (under Retirement & Investment). In this case, you can request access to those options through your dashboard and our team will get in touch with you.

2. In order for you to improve communication to your employees regarding your benefits policy, you now have a dedicated place in this section where you can upload your company's policy - or download our template to build your own -, which will be available to your employees on their Coverflex app for download at all times. We recommend you to keep it up to date with your choices or restrictions, so that your employees understand where and how they can successfully use Coverflex.

Great! How does this work for my team?

In their apps, your employees will only have access to the benefits and options you've enabled for them. They'll only be able to use their cards, request reimbursements or purchase inside the app for the enabled benefits and options.

Can I see how it works?

Definitely! We invite you to take a look at your new playground and learn how to make the most of it on the video below.
