One of the main benefits employees and companies have been requesting since day 1 is the one regarding tech products, meaning the possibility for employees to see discounts applied immediately to the tech items they purchase for working purposes.
How do we make this happen?
Say you're a Coverflexer. When you buy a tech product for working purposes, you are actually having a professional expense - which means the amount of the product you buy needs to be invoiced to the company you work for and the item needs to be approved by your company as well.
This is why we launched the Technology benefit, back in February. It allows you to buy such products from anywhere and request a reimbursement for your expense directly through your Coverflex app - returning your funds from your Benefits balance.
Seems easy enough, right?
... Right. What's the fuss about Apple products, then?
We pulled a "Coverflex meets Apple" and went the extra mile for you. We closed a deal with the leading tech company to allow you to purchase Apple products directly through your app. No reimbursements, no extra steps needed! Here's how it's going to go down from now on:
- You now have on your Coverflex app an option to buy Apple products;
- No VAT applied to these orders, as equipment bought from a non-Portuguese entity is VAT exempt;
- Discounts up to 10%, depending on the product you're buying.
No VAT + discounts up to 10% + no personal taxes = a total saving of over 50% of the original price between purchasing an Apple product with Coverflex and buying it with your NET salary.
Great! I'm an employee - how does it work?
First, this benefit needs to be enabled by your company. Once available, you'll be able to find it under the "Technology" category in the benefits section of your app. Choose the products you want from our Apple catalogue, insert their references in the app, select where you want to receive your order and submit the request for approval by your company. As soon as it is confirmed, the value of the purchase will be deducted from your Benefits balance and you'll be notified with shipping details.

I'm managing Coverflex at my company. What do I need to know?
In order to make this benefit available to your team, please reach out to [email protected] and we'll help you with the process. Within a week or so, you should be up and running!
Once that's out of the way, you'll be notified of your employees' purchase requests. As per usual, you'll find all the details of the orders on your dashboard, where you'll be able to review them. If it's in line with the company policy and approved, the request is submitted to Apple, which will ship the product to the indicated address. The invoice will be issued to the company and made available on your dashboard and on your usual reports.
